Ich was last week on vacation in Stockholm and of course had to visit a few of the bead shops in the city. Before I flew, I had interviewed already Google. This, I came across the website of Svenska Parlbutiker. I’ve picked out a few shops with the help of Google translate, there. It is advisable before the opening times on the websites of local businesses to find out about, since these can be very different. Best you check out there before the range, whether is worth a visit for you.

I have been talking to the owner for a while and she told me that a few years ago there were many pearl shops in the area. Now they are the last.

If you are in the area anyway, you should also look at Huregrens at Stureplan 4. A very nice bookshop, in addition to books about jewelery and handwork books, also a few beaded books in Swedish and English.
Near by you find Hedengrens at Stureplan 4. A really lovely book shop where you will find illustrated jewellery books, books about needlework and some beading books in swedish and english. In addition to bead stores I love button shops and Mattson’s band in Kungsgatan 19 you find not only great buttons, but also a huge selection of bands I’ve seen tips and borders and even Soutache. There is also a branch of Panduro Hobby in Kungsgatan. This is kind of a Swedish idea with beautiful paper and scrap booking material.
