Stockholm Bead Stores

Ich was last week on vacation in Stockholm and of course had to visit a few of the bead shops in the city. Before I flew, I had interviewed already Google. This, I came across the website of Svenska Parlbutiker. I’ve picked out a few shops with the help of Google translate, there. It is advisable before the opening times on the websites of local businesses to find out about, since these can be very different. Best you check out there before the range, whether is worth a visit for you.

Last Stockholm and as always I had to visit week I visited some of the local bead shops. I had asked Google before and found the website Svenska Parlbutiker. With the help of Google Translate I found some shops I wanted to visit. It is a good idea to check the opening hours on the sites before because they can be very different. There you can have a look at the product range too and decide if a visit is worth wile.

At in the Tegnergatan 13, there is a wide range of bending rings, locks, chains, hooks in metal but also in silver. You will find there also beads, Swarovski, and semi-precious beads. I am particularly pleased the selection of brooch pins with Board. These I search long and have so far nowhere get this quality also not on the Web.

At Tegnergatan 13 you will find a great range of jump rings, findings, carabines and chains in metall and silver. They have seed beads, Swarovskis and gemstone pearls too. I was happy about the wide range of brooch pins. I have not found brooch pins in such quality and sizes in Germany and in the web before.

Bicone Design in Brahegatan 32 is a small shop with a nice selection of Indonesian and quite a few other glass beads. The best thing to do is look at the website. I have been talking to the owner for a while and she told me that a few years ago there were many pearl shops in the area. Now they are the last.

Bicone Design Brahegatan 32 is a little bead shop with beautiful indonesian beads and much more glass beads. The best thing to do is to have a look at their webseite. I talked for a while with the shop owner. She told me that there where much more bead shops in Stockholm years ago. Now they are one of the last.

If you are in the area anyway, you should also look at Huregrens at Stureplan 4. A very nice bookshop, in addition to books about jewelery and handwork books, also a few beaded books in Swedish and English.
Near by you find Hedengrens at Stureplan 4. A really lovely book shop where you will find illustrated jewellery books, books about needlework and some beading books in swedish and english. In addition to bead stores I love button shops and Mattson’s band in Kungsgatan 19 you find not only great buttons, but also a huge selection of bands I’ve seen tips and borders and even Soutache. There is also a branch of Panduro Hobby in Kungsgatan. This is kind of a Swedish idea with beautiful paper and scrap booking material.

Among bead stores I love button shops and Mattson’s band at Kungsgatan 19 you will find wonderful buttons and a wide range of laces and ribbons and I have Lakes some soutache. In the Kungsgatan you will find a Panduro Hobby craft store too. They have nice paper and scrap booking materials.
